The Swarm

After my stippling colored drawings i decided i would like to explore the idea of creating a swarm in 3D that would show movement as you moved around it creating different shapes from different angles.

I toyed around with using paper to create both the swarm and frame at first

i decided to use a wooden frame for stability in the end and use the paper as the swarms for the delicate flow and this was the  result.

The idea behind making this small 3D piece was to experiment with the shapes of the swarms of birds, the frame is quite chunky and if i was to do it again it would be something i would address, but aside from the frame it's a nice deli-quite piece that opens the door to alot of possibilities!
