We were all asked to bring in images of art that gave us a visual buzz..i brought in some of William Turners work, i had seen his work in my Critical and Contextual Studies and it interested me.
We were then intructed to build a 3D installation using materials that we seen in the images..here were my results.
I chose to use hairy materials in my installation and position them in a chaotic form because this was my response to the painting that was basing i on.
On the Friday of the first week we started to paint our installation but we were not allowed to use brushes we couls only use pallette knifes, this was my first time to use a palette knife and i found it kind of limeting but that freed me up to look at the marks i was creating and how i was moving the paint around the page. This is the pallette knife painting.
